One night an elderly man was sleeping in his house when he heard a dog barking loudly from outside.
He thought it was probably a stray dog that would go away after a while so he did not pay much attention to it.
Then the sound changed.
The dog was not barking anymore it was whining, like the dog was crying out for help.
The sound kept coming and going all night but it was dark and the elderly man was sleepy so he could not do anything about it.
The morning the elderly man still did not see the dog but he felt really uneasy.
That evening when he was walking around his house he finally saw a pit bull stuck in a narrow drain.
The pit bull could not. Had clearly been stuck there for a very long time.
Seeing the pit bull in this condition made the elderly man realize that the pit bull needed help away.
The elderly man tried to get help from people in the area. They did not respond quickly.
So he called the rescue team for help.
He was lucky that a fire brigade team was in the area. They came right after he called.
The rescue team started helping the pit bull
They carefully pulled the pit bull out of the drain. It did not take very long.
The whole rescue took 40 minutes.
The good thing was that the pit bull was not hurt badly just really tired and stressed.
The rescue team checked the pit bull. Then took the pit bull with them to take care of the pit bull.
Sometimes a small action at the time can make a big difference in the life of an animal, like the pit bull.
